Where is the Béarn?
The
Béarn is situated at the bottom of the Pyrénées Atlantiques
next to the French Basque Country. The city of Pau is it's capital where
you can fly low cost by Ryanair
from London Stansted, Bristol and Brussels. Biarritz on the Atlantic coast
is just an hour away and can also be reached by Ryanair from Stansted, Birmingham
and Dublin. We are approximately 250 kms West of Toulouse, 90 kms
East of the Atlantic coast and Biarritz and 40 kms North of the Spanish
border, so in the true 'deep' South West!

How do we get there?
Pau or Biarritz we can be reached from the A64 motorway taking either the exit number 9 at Artix or number 10 from Orthez. From Artix we are about 30 minutes west on the D111 and from Orthez about 20 minutes south on the D936.

Discover Navarrenx
We are in the heart of Navarrenx, the first 'bastide' town ever built in
France in the 13th Century.
Our new premises are now in the building known as 'La Poudriére',
just round the corner from our old shop in the square. It is an imposing
stone built square construction with walls three feet thick where the arms
and gunpowder were stored when Navarrenx was a proper military base during
the 16th century.
